MCP connector

Make videos right from your AI chat

Connect Autoclips to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any app that supports MCP. Then just ask for a video. It shows you the price first and only starts when you say yes.

You sign in with your Autoclips account when your app asks. No API key needed.

What you can ask

Talk to it like you would to an editor

Every Autoclips format works from chat. The AI asks only about the choices that matter and picks good defaults for the rest.

“Make a 60 second video about the history of coffee, narrated in Spanish.”

Autoclips V3 story

“Make a Character Explainer about black holes, with gameplay in the background.”

Character Explainer

“Make a 3D animated short about a little robot who finds a flower.”

3D Animated Studio

“Put this picture in scenes 1 and 2, starting at 0:36.”

Your own media

“Is my video done? Post it to my YouTube and TikTok.”

Check and post

“How many credits do I have left this month?”

Your account

Set it up

Pick your app. It takes about a minute.

Every app needs the same connector link. Paste it in, sign in to Autoclips, and you are done.

Claude

On claude.ai, the Claude desktop app and the phone apps. One click opens Claude with Autoclips filled in.

  1. 1Click Add to Claude. Claude opens with the name and the connector link filled in.
  2. 2Click Add, then Connect, and sign in to Autoclips.
  3. 3In a chat, open the + menu, go to Connectors and turn Autoclips on. Then ask for a video.
  • By hand: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the connector link, then Add and Connect.
  • Free Claude plans can add one custom connector. Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise can add more.
  • On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it once with Add for my team. Everyone then connects with their own Autoclips account.
  • Added on the web or desktop, it works in the Claude phone apps too.

Apps move their menus around. If a step looks different in yours, the connector link is all it needs.

Built to ask first

Your AI can make videos. It cannot spend without you.

The rules live on our side, not in the chat, so they hold whatever the AI says.

Nothing is charged without your yes

Before anything costs credits, the AI shows you the price and waits. The go-ahead works once, for those exact settings.

Deletes and posts ask first

Anything that deletes or posts to your accounts shows you what will happen before it happens.

Same credits, same prices

Videos use your normal Autoclips credits at the prices you see in the app. Connecting costs nothing.

You sign in, you stay in control

Your app connects with your own Autoclips sign-in. Remove the connector in your app whenever you like.

What it can do

43 tools, everything the app does

Your AI picks the right one from what you ask. Each action links to its full reference on the API page.

Show every tool and action

Each tool groups the actions for one kind of thing. The AI passes action and the fields that action takes. Every action checks the permissions of the key or sign-in.

The first tools

These came before the tools above and keep working. They check neither permissions nor a key's daily credit cap, so an API key never sees them: A sign-in or the Claude key (never an API key) can use them. What they spend counts toward the account's daily limit for API keys and AI apps. The UGC ad tools are only here, so they need a sign-in or the Claude key too. Anything that costs credits or posts shows you the price or a preview first.

create_video
What it does: Makes a narrated Autoclips V3 story video from a topic, start to finish. Shows an estimate for the length you ask for and waits for your yes; the final price follows how long the written script really runs, so a longer script costs more.
create_character_video
What it does: Makes a Character Explainer video: cartoon characters explain a topic over gameplay. Shows the most it can cost and waits for your yes. Every character must speak the video's language.
get_video_status
What it does: How a video from either tool is doing, its link when it is ready, and why it stopped if it did.
list_characters
What it does: The Character Explainer characters you can pick, and the languages each one speaks.
list_voices
What it does: Narrator voices, with your own cloned voices.
get_credits
What it does: Your credit balance and plan.
list_social_accounts
What it does: The social accounts you connected in the app.
publish_video
What it does: Posts a finished video made in your account to your connected accounts.
list_ugc_ads
What it does: Your recent UGC ads.
get_ugc_ad
What it does: One UGC ad: brief, settings, script and versions.
get_ugc_timeline
What it does: Every clip, caption and track in one UGC ad version.
edit_ugc_timeline
What it does: Changes a UGC ad timeline, up to 20 changes at once.
render_ugc_timeline
What it does: Exports a UGC ad timeline. No extra credits.
configure_ugc_ad
What it does: Settings for future UGC remakes.
direct_ugc_ad
What it does: Remakes part of a UGC ad: recast, refilm, redraw, new voice or re-cut.

Questions

What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the common way AI apps plug into other tools. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and a growing list of apps support it. Connect Autoclips once and your AI can make, change and check your videos for you.

Do I need an API key?

No. When you connect, your app opens Autoclips and you sign in. A few apps cannot do that sign-in; for those, make an API key in Settings → API and send it as a header (the steps above show how).

What does it cost?

Connecting is free. Videos use your normal Autoclips credits, at the same prices as in the app, and the AI tells you the price before anything is charged.

Which apps work?

Any app that can add a remote MCP server (some call it a connector, an integration or a custom tool). There are steps above for the most popular ones. For any other app, paste the connector link where it lets you add one.

Where do my videos go?

Into your Autoclips account, next to the videos you make in the app. The AI gives you the link when a video is ready, and you can download it or post it from there.

No Autoclips account yet?

Make one in a few seconds. Your AI app signs in with it.
